En el escenario, Macklemore dijo: "Six weeks ago, it was two words. Two words is all that it took. Two words that are rooted in love and liberation. Not against anybody, not divisive. Not a call for hatred. But a call to recognize our shared humanity. Free Palestine". Y agregó: "A big part of the reason why I wanted to do this tour in the first place is so I could stand up in stadiums like this and say two words that are very near and dear to my heart: 'Free Palestine.' I want those words to be loud and clear, so that people all the way in Gaza to the occupied West Bank know that we have not forgotten about them".

"It's not in any way a strange, uncomfortable or controversial thing to say, it's a deeply human thing to say. They're going to let some fucking promoter tell me what I can say? Don't book me. I'll play for free outside", dijo Antonoff. "[Ed Sheeran] missed a massive, beautiful opportunity there: just cancel the whole fucking tour, then play for free outside each venue, raise a bunch of money, rather than let a fucking billionaire tell you what to do. The reason it's not an anomaly or niche issue is because we all live in a world where billionaires are constantly telling us what to do. So stand the fuck up".

I don't take sides'.

Sheeran abordó la controversia durante un concierto en Filadelfia, declarando que "what happened in Israel and at the Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7 was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain. What is happening in Gaza is catastrophic and unjustifiable and disproportionate".

Antonoff, crítico vocal del gigante de la música en vivo Live Nation, continuó criticando a la compañía en su última entrevista: "You don't get it, I don't want to fucking talk to you people, I want to make it clear that I'm not fucking OK with you turning the most sacred thing into the world into some weird free-market piece of shit".
