Wynn Everett encarna a la 'Gus Fring' del fútbol universitario en la segunda temporada de 'Chad Powers'

Atlanta, 04 de septiembre de 2026.- Wynn Everett interpreta a Tricia Yeager en la serie 'Chad Powers' de Hulu, un personaje que los co-creadores Michael Waldron y Glen Powell han comparado con 'Gus Fring' de 'Breaking Bad'. La segunda temporada de la serie, que consta de seis episodios, ya está disponible en streaming y presenta a Yeager como una benefactora adinerada del ficticio equipo South Georgia Catfish.
Al igual que el personaje de la serie dramática de AMC, Tricia Yeager utiliza una granja de pollos como fachada para su empresa criminal. Glen Powell, quien basó al personaje en ciertos 'titiriteros silenciosos' que conoce en el fútbol universitario, señaló sobre la actuación de Everett: "She just bats 1.000 in the show. She can do anything. She really can" (Ella batea 1.000 en la serie. Puede hacer cualquier cosa. Realmente puede).
Michael Waldron, graduado de la Universidad de Georgia, explicó que contrataron a Everett principalmente por su actuación dramática. "Her tape was just so fun. She's such a gifted dramatic actress, and so we just trusted that she would be hilarious with anything we gave her. I think the important thing is, you believe her. You're like, 'Yeah, this person exists. This character is all over the SEC'", dijo Waldron. El creador añadió: "What's great is she can be saying the craziest things in the world, but then she can also shift into a very dramatic gear just as easily. Respecto a la comparación con el universo de Vince Gilligan, Waldron planteó durante la planificación: "If this is Breaking Bad, who is our Gus?". Por su parte, Everett comentó: "Michael Waldron is a genius, and he pulls from the most unexpected places. Like, I would never compare Trisha into the world of Breaking Bad, but… he sees it. He brings it all together". La actriz, quien mide 5 pies 5 pulgadas y es alumna de la Universidad de Auburn, nació y se crió en Atlanta.
En la trama de esta segunda temporada, Glen Powell interpreta a Russ Holliday/Powers, el protagonista titular, quien lucha contra el mariscal de campo suplente Gerry, interpretado por Colton Ryan. Steve Zahn, quien coprotagonizó con la hija de Everett en 'She Dances', interpreta al entrenador principal de fútbol en la serie. Waldron y Powell planearon 'Chad Powers' como una serie de tres temporadas que cubre una sola temporada de fútbol universitario.
Fuera de pantalla, Everett educa en casa a sus dos hijas, Asher (14) y Georgia (12), en Atlanta, junto a su esposo Michael Albanese, escritor y poeta. Asher dirige cortometrajes y Georgia coprotagonizó con su madre en el proyecto de Zahn. Everett mencionó que sus hijas reaccionan con miedo ante su personaje: "They're like, 'Mommy, no, that's very scary!' But I love it".
Sobre su regreso a su ciudad natal, la actriz declaró: "I've had the same agent for 20 years, at Gersh, and she would tell me, 'Wynn, this business is a traveling business.' You have to travel as an actor. We are the product. When I moved back home, I said 'I really, really have to stay in Atlanta. I have to stay here to be close to my children, and I'll wait.' And then it literally it was just a matter of time before Chad Powers fell into my lap, and then the other shows that have been here that I've gotten to work on — it's just crazy that my little my hometown has become this hub of production". Everett, conocida previamente por interpretar a Whitney Frost en 'Agent Carter' de Marvel, destacó que su agente le aconsejó mantenerse en movimiento antes de que la producción llegara a su hogar.
