Tovah Feldshuh niega tensiones en el set de Nobody Wants This tras comentarios de Adam Brody sobre Palestina

Ciudad de Mexico, 01 de noviembre de 2026.- Tovah Feldshuh, actriz de la serie Nobody Wants This, negó que existan tensiones en el set de la producción de Netflix luego de los comentarios de Adam Brody en los que expresó su apoyo a "a free Palestine". La actriz respondió a un post de Threads hecho por AzatTV que decía: "Tensions are emerging on the set of the Netflix series Nobody Wants This."

"Tensions are NOT RISING. Profound differences of opinion are. Please do not conflate the two — And none of it will be brought to the set", escribió Feldshuh en respuesta. La actriz añadió: "I deeply enjoy filming [Nobody Wants This] and hope we are chosen to go on for a fourth season."

En una entrevista con GQ, Brody dijo sobre la guerra en Gaza: "put me down as thinking it's a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine." El actor agregó: "It's awful that it's taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it's reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago."

Feldshuh, que interpreta a la madre del personaje de Brody, Noah, en la serie, dijo a The New York Post sobre los comentarios del actor: "To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild." Y añadió: "It's right out of Hitler's playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator."

Cuando The New York Post le preguntó si "accusations of genocide are worse when they come from Jewish people themselves", Feldshuh dijo que "makes a difference to the [Jewish] community". También declaró: "I believe that the perseverance of the existence of the state of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic world and of the free world", y agregó: "Of course, Israel needs the United States, [but] the United States needs Israel, believe you me."

Sobre su papel en la producción, Feldshuh dijo a The New York Post: "My job, as Bina but also as Tovah, is to love the people on set at my place of work, to be kind." Añadió: "With the backdrop of global antisemitism, I am thrilled to be chosen to play a Jewish matriarch. Thrilled and proud, and that will never change."

Erin Foster, creadora de Nobody Wants This, reaccionó a la declaración de Brody en el podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat diciendo que "it's complicated". Foster explicó: "I think our work environment, our set is very similar to dinner tables around the world where people are having debate and discussion and disagreeing." Y agregó: "While I love Adam, I also disagree with him, and that's okay."

"I think that as the creator of the show, all I can say is that I want our Jewish fans to know that I see you and I hear you and I understand how you feel", dijo Foster. "And the show has always been and always will be a love letter to Judaism. That is why I made this show. It's because of how beautiful of an experience I've had becoming Jewish and being a Jewish person, and sitting here right now at this time in the world where there is almost zero positive representation of Jewish people, I think it's so important to have that." Concluyó: "That being said, everyone is entitled to a different opinion than me. I can just tell you what I created this show for, what the intention of the show is."
