Soderbergh asume la dirección en sets de The Batman Part II mientras Reeves se mantiene involucrado

Londres, 26 de octubre de 2026.- Steven Soderbergh se hizo cargo de la dirección en sets de The Batman Part II para ayudar a terminar el rodaje de la producción de DC Studios en Londres, luego de que Matt Reeves tuviera que apartarse debido a un asunto familiar personal en Los Ángeles.
De acuerdo con la información publicada por The Hollywood Reporter, el plan es que Soderbergh trabaje en Londres mientras Reeves opera desde Los Ángeles, y que este último también esté involucrado durante la postproducción de la película en esa ciudad. Reeves permanece involucrado en la producción.
El propio Reeves aclaró su situación: "Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II. I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes".
Soderbergh explicó el objetivo de su participación: "The goal here is to work with Matt and his team to generate footage that will integrate seamlessly with what's already been shot so Matt can properly finish his film". Sobre el trabajo previo de Reeves, señaló: "I thought Matt Reeves' work on The Batman was stunning; it was intentional, specific, and rigorously coherent".
Robert Pattinson, protagonista de la cinta como Bruce Wayne/Batman, declaró que la película volvió a estar en producción y reaccionó al apoyo de Soderbergh: "I am so happy he's come on to help Matt". Agregó que "It's incredibly generous of him – and he's doing it in the loveliest way. It's completely selfless".
"I think Matt had put so much work into the script, and we're almost done. So for someone to come in and say, 'I just want to help Matt do it; I want to do it in conjunction with him and just get it to the edit.' And to have someone who's as talented as Steven doing it is great", añadió Pattinson.
Se dice que la película está aproximadamente dos tercios terminada. Scarlett Johansson y Sebastian Stan son nuevas incorporaciones a la franquicia. Pattinson apareció en tres películas exitosas: The Drama, The Odyssey y Primetime, mientras que Dune: Part Three está aún por estrenarse en diciembre.
