Amy Allen es nombrada Compositora del Año en los ASCAP Pop Music Awards; Laufey recibe Creative Voice Award

Hollywood, 01 de mayo de 2026.- Amy Allen fue nombrada Compositora del Año en los ASCAP Pop Music Awards, ceremonia que se llevó a cabo el jueves 30 de abril de 2026 en los Chaplin Studios de Hollywood. Allen recibió el galardón por co-escribir éxitos de Sabrina Carpenter como 'Manchild', 'Tears' y 'Bed Chem', así como el tema 'APT' de Rose y Bruno Mars.

Jimmy Jam fue el encargado de presentar a Allen en el escenario. Durante la entrega, Jam declaró: "We don't have to worry about AI because of people like Amy Allen".

Por su parte, Laufey recibió el ASCAP Creative Voice Award, premio que le fue entregado por Suki Waterhouse. Al aceptar el reconocimiento, Laufey comentó: "I'm looking around and I'm seeing the word 'pop', and I loved pop music growing up, and I always knew that there was a way for me to find my space in pop music. I grew up loving classical, loving jazz, knowing that was the pop music of its time. And I had this dream to make it the pop music of now, of this decade, and I really feel that has happened — and especially tonight, I'm really feeling it".

La canción del año fue distinguida como 'Die With a Smile', el dueto entre Bruno Mars y Lady Gaga, co-escrita por James Fauntleroy. El tema permaneció cinco semanas en el número uno del Billboard Hot 100 y registró una carrera de 60 semanas en la lista.

Sony Music Publishing fue nombrada Editora Musical Pop del Año por ASCAP. Entre los otros ganadores presentes en la ceremonia se encuentran EJAE, Jack Antonoff, Cirkut, Justin Bieber, Max Martin, Myles Smith, Ashley Gorley, Audrey Hobert, Daniel Nigro, David Guetta, Dijon 'Mustard' McFarlane y Timbaland.
